Dakina Stories 107

     As Rhys walked to school on the first day, he couldn't help but to wonder how his senior year would go in this new high school. He transferred from his previous high school because he moved with his mother & little sister to a new apartment & the commute to his previous school was too far. Rhys is cut off by his thoughts when he see's money falling from a girls book bag, he picked up the money & ran up to the girl to give it back to her, when he first stopped her she looked concerned but when he said "Your money is falling out your book bag" she relaxed a bit & said "thank you" Rhys said "your welcome" & both went about their day. Rhys had a high top fade haircut, & wore a black shirt that spelled, Marvel. He finally gets to the school & because he is new he had to go to the guidance counselor office to find out what class he would be going to for first period. When he saw the guidance counselor his breath was taken because he saw a fine man dressed up in a suit & tie, with his hair tied in a man bun, Rhys was openly gay, but for now he wanted to keep his composure. The guidance counselor introduces himself "good morning, you must be Rhys my name is Mr. Stellan", Rhys was about to respond but couldn't as he looked at this lightskin guidance counselor that picked the right suit today because it blended really well with his complexion. Mr. Stellan reached his hand out to Rhys & they shake hands, soon Rhys snapped out of his daydream about Mr. Stellan & said "good morning", for first period he had English but because he was new Mr. Stellan walked him to class. By the time of lunch Rhys is walking to the cafeteria & he notices the girl from earlier, she was hugged up on some guy who Rhys assumed to be her boyfriend by the way they were kissing, but when she noticed him, she signaled for him to come over. When he got next to her & the guy she says "hey, thank you so much for this morning, you must be new my name is Juniper" Rhys replies "no problem, my name is Rhys by the way" they shake hands & Juniper says "this is my boyfriend Elliott" Rhys says hello & Elliott nods his head as a way of saying what's up. Rhys went to go eat lunch, today they were serving turkey & cheddar roll up with a side of fresh berries. At the end of the day Rhys is about to go home but decides to go to the bathroom because he could not hold his pee & did not want to embarrass himself on the first day of school, & he also remembered that he still had to take the train even though it was only five stops, when he finished he washed his hands but then Elliott came into the bathroom & he didn't use it he just stood by the door. When Rhys was trying to leave Elliott stopped him & asked "hey can I ask you something?, I don't mean to offend you or anything" Rhys is a bit hesitant at first but he knows he can hold his own if Elliott tries to do anything so he says "sure" then Elliott asked "are you gay?" Rhys was shocked at this question but he was not ashamed of who he was so he told the truth, "yes I am" Elliott didn't respond, he just had a smirk on his face & started to kiss Rhys. This was not expected so Rhys was in shock, he pushed Elliott off of him & said "what the hell man" Elliott said "what? I thought you like guys" Rhys responds "doesn't mean I like you" after he said that Rhys left the bathroom & saw Juniper, he was still in shock so he just went straight for the exit until Juniper ran up to him & said "Rhys wait up" he turns & she runs up to him, she asked him "do you want to walk to the train together, me & Elliott are going to the A train" before Rhys could respond Elliott was behind Juniper. Rhys responds "no sorry, I'm kind of in a rush I have to pick up my little sister" Juniper says "oh come on, we will walk as fast as we could so you won't be late picking your little sister up" Elliott said before Rhys could respond "yeah man come on, we would like to get to know you better so we can be friends" Rhys could tell that they were not going to give up so he said "okay fine". Rhys talked to Juniper & Elliott the whole train ride trying to hide the awkward tension between him & Elliott, when it was time for Rhys to get off the train he was shocked to see them get off the same stop as him, Juniper said in excitement "no way, looks like we can meet up in the morning before school" Rhys smiles but every time Elliott tried to talk to him he felt the awkward tension building again. When Rhys got to his new apartment building he could not believe that Juniper lived across the street & at this point he felt like the universe was trying to tell him something, but they say goodbyes & Rhys heads upstairs to greet his mother & little sister.
