Dakina Stories 106

         When Nicole woke up from the blow Xavier gave her with the gun, she rubs her head & have a bad headache, when she fully got up she noticed Amari's & Xavier's bodies on the floor. She screams in panic & immediately picked up the phone to dial 911, before she pressed call she heard a loud banging at the door, "open up it's the police", Nicole rushes to the door & when she opened the door the officers asked her about gun shots, she points to Amari & Xavier's bodies. The police was questioning Nicole about what happened & she told the police about the abuse Xavier put Amari through & how Amari came to her house to get away. When the cops finish questioning Nicole, they send an ER Medical team to come get the bodies, both was pronounced dead on the scene. Nicole is in shock & feels guilty about the whole situation, she feels like she should have insisted Amari to come sleep in the bedroom, she couldn't wrap her head around how Xavier got in the house though, she lives on the 16th floor in an apartment complex. While Nicole is lost in her thoughts she figured she will call Amari's mother & father, Amari's father picked up the phone "Hello" Nicole says "Hello Mr. Alexander, this is Nicole" he replied " Hey Nicole, is everything okay" Nicole responds " Mr. Alexander, I'm so sorry to have to break this news to you, but Amari is dead" as tears came down Nicole face saying those words, Mr. Alexander on the other end got silent, when he said hello again his voice sounded broken, & Nicole says "I'm so sorry Mr. Alexander" they both are crying on the phone when Ms. Blanca woke up, she says "honey, whats wrong" she knew it was serious because her husband never cried, Mr. Alexander told her that Amari was dead & she broke down & screamed "Nooooooooo, I know that bastard had something to do with my daughters death!" as they are Nicole is on the other end in tears & then Mr. Alexander says "Nicole, sweetheart we are going to call you back" the phone clicks. Nicole couldn't sleep for the rest of the night, she did not want to but she knew Xavier's mom had a right to know about what happened to her son, so she called Xavier's mom & when she answers, Nicole says "Hi Ms. Hanna, this is Nicole, I'm just calling to let you know Xavier, is dead". Ms. Hanna starts to sob on the phone & Nicole says " I'm so sorry for your lost, his body is at the hospital" before she hung up Ms. Hanna said "Nicole, how did my son die?" Nicole couldn't respond, all she said was "I'm sorry for your lost Ms. Hanna" & she hung up the phone, she called Mr. Alexander & Ms. Blanca best to also let them know that Amari's body is at the hospital as well, Mr. Alexander says thank you to Nicole & hung up the phone". When Amari's parents get to the hospital, Xavier's mom was there as well, Ms. Blanca charged at Ms. Hanna but before she could get to her, Mr. Alexander stopped her. They all start crying & Ms. Blanca blurts out, your son killed my baby, I know it!, Ms. Hanna didn't respond she just waited to speak to the hospital manager so she can see Xavier's body. Both parents speak finally speak to a hospital manager & an security officer took Ms. Hanna down to the morgue first so she can identify Xavier, when she see the body & identifies him, the security officer gives her a minute, seeing her son lay cold on a tray like that broke her heart, she cried "I knew I should've gotten you some help, my sweet baby I'm so sorry I didn't do anything sooner" as she's crying she notices the bullet in Xavier's head & starts to have a mental break down, the security officer came back to get Ms. Hanna & said "I'm sorry for your lost, I give you & your family my condolences" when she comes back up, Mr Alexander & Ms. Blanca met the security officer by the elevator & got on as Ms. Hanna got off, when they get to see Amari's body, both of them starts to cry & Ms. Blanca asked god "why, why did you take my baby" they notice the bullets to Amari's head & stomach & they instantly knew Xavier had something to do with it, as both of them came back up on the elevator they hear Nicole call out to them. When she gets there she says " I'm sorry" & they all embrace each other letting out all of their tears. Ms. Hanna came up & asked Nicole what happened, Nicole responded " Xavier was abusing Amari, she came to my house after she found out she was pregnant to get away from him, when we came back to my place from getting her clothes, we talked for a little & Amari slept on the couch, she didn't want to come in the room with me so I left my door open in case she changed her mind, when I woke up I saw her standing in front of the bathroom shaking, so I got up to go check on her & I saw Xavier in my house, I told him get out before I call the cops & he knocked me out with the gun & when I woke up, I saw both of them laying on the floor covered in blood" Mr. Alexander shakes his head & says "I'm so sorry you had to go through this Nicole, I know you loved Amari like a sister" before Nicole could respond Ms. Hanna intruded "how did he get in your house" she replied "Ms. Hanna I'm still trying to figure out that detail" Ms. Hanna says "sounds like bullshit" Ms. Blanca says "stop blaming this girl for you sons actions, he decided to go to her house & break in, then he shot my daughter in the stomach & in the head before shooting himself int he head, your son was sick, admit it" Ms. Hanna replied " I've had enough of you today, you don't know anything about my son, yes Xavier had issues, but I never expected things to go as far as they did" Nicole intrudes & says "I'm sorry for both of you guys loses but I don't think arguing will bring either of them back" Ms. Blanca replies "your right baby, I am just frustrated my daughter was taken way to soon" Ms. Hanna said nothing else. As the families were leaving Nicole went with Amari's parents & asked them about the funeral arrangements, they replied "we are going to have her funeral next week" Nicole says okay & told them if they needed anything that she would be there, they told her "Okay sweetheart, we will keep in touch" & they split up. When Nicole got back to her complex she asked the to security guard sitting at the desk about Xavier & how he got inside, she learned that Xavier told the security guard working that night that he wanted to surprise his wife Amari & the security guard gave Xavier the spare keys to her apartment.

            One week later

             All of Amari's family was gathered at her funeral, when Nicole arrived she saw Amari's brother Alex who had been away because he was in college, when she greets him, he asked her "how are you holding up, my parents told me what happened, are you okay?" She responded "I just can't get over the fact that I couldn't help her" Nicole starts to cry & Alex says "I know you did what you could, but if it didn't happen when it did it would've happened another time, I'm just glad that when it did happen you were able to contact the police" as both of the embrace each other sobbing, Adrienne came to the funeral. Adrienne looked upset to be there & was told her parents to hurry up with the service, Nicole rolls her eyes & tries to keep her composure seeing Adrienne. Everyone had two minutes to give a speech about Amari & it was about time for Nicole to go up, she shares " Amari has been my best friend since we both were in diapers" everyone starts to laugh as they knew this was a fact, she continued " she was like a sister I never had, we fought, argued & got under each others skin a lot of times but throughout all of that we knew that we would always make our way back to each other because our bond was that strong" before Nicole could say another sentence she broke down, everyone told her to take her time but she couldn't say anymore, she went to go sit back down. Now Adrienne goes to give her speech and says "It's sad that Amari had to die because she couldn't satisfy a man" everyone gasps but then Adrienne announces " It is unfortunate that both her & her unborn child had to die but, Xavier got me pregnant & I will be having his baby in a few months" when she finished her speech Nicole went to charge at her but Alex stopped her & told her "girl it ain't worth it trash will always be trash" Mr. Alexander says to Adrienne "you've really done it this time Adrienne, I'm really disappointed with your actions" Adrienne rolls her eyes & says "whatever", Alex chimes in "how come you always have to bring drama with you no matter where you go" Adrienne says "oh baby brother, did I hurt your feelings" as Alex sighed he kept holding Nicole because he could see she was still mad & would charge at Adrienne if he let her go, as everyone is leaving the funeral they all look at Adrienne like, how could you that is your sister, but no one actually said anything. Nicole eventually calmed down & told Alex, keep her far away from me. Everyone is now outside the funeral home talking & saying there good byes while Mr. Alexander, Ms. Blanca, Alex, & Nicole was on they're way to lower Amari's casket in the ground, Amari's parents didn't want anymore drama so they told everyone go home & thanked them for coming out.

        Xavier's funeral

        All of Xavier's family was there, & as everyone gave they're condolences to Ms. Hanna, she just said thank you & kept on looking at the casket with her son's body in it. She has a flashback to when Xavier was younger, he use to hide in the bathroom while hearing his father beat on his mother. She couldn't help but to feel like she should have gotten him some help & explained to him that the abuse is not okay & to never treat a girl like that, she felt guilty for her sons death & the death of Amari. As she starts to tear up Xavier's grandmother (her mom) came up to her & said "I'm sorry for your lost baby, but I told you put that boy in therapy, I'm still sorry none the less though" she hugs her mom & cries. Ms. Hanna was shocked to see Adrienne at Xavier's funeral, but she said hi & Adrienne gave her condolences before telling Ms. Hanna she was pregnant with Xavier's baby. Ms. Hanna's eyes widened as she was shocked. By this time everyone has two minutes to give a speech about Xavier, as his family went up Ms. Hanna just kept thinking about the abuse Xavier watched his father put her through, before everyone wrapped up Adrienne wanted to give a speech, when she got up there she started to say "First off I want to give my condolences to the family, I loved Xavier & thought my sister was not woman enough to care for him, as we can see I was right, on Xavier's & Amari's 2nd year anniversary me & Xavier started to have an affair, I was in love with him & knew he would be the perfect man for me, long story short, I'm here today to let you guys know I will be having Xavier's baby in a few months" everyone gasps & starts to gossip, but Ms. Hanna said thank you & everyone got in a van to go see Xavier's casket be lowered into the ground. As everyone were saying they're goodbyes Ms. Hanna pulled Adrienne to the side & says "First off congratulations, I just wanted to let you know your sister is not the one at fault here, see even if he was with you, Xavier has deep issues & he would've found a way to take his issues out on you, take care now okay & keep in touch to let me know how my grand baby is doing" they say goodbye & everyone leaves.
